September 2024

What a stressful month, or atleast the first 20-22 days have been. It felt like 2020 all over again, obviously with a separate stress point. I desperately needed a break by the end of the month and I would have wanted nothing more than writing this blog from an airport in New Zealand, but life does not always turn out the way you wanted. I still did a couple of bushwalks, which probably helped. Some wins from September:

  • I got fitted for my custom golf bag, and received my clubs. Absolutely love these new clubs.
  • Workouts have been going strong, and I have been focussed like never before!

Unfortunately, the snow season has officially ended in Australia, and that wonderful feeling of carving down a mountain will now have to wait. While the snow has melted away, I somewhat can’t wait for sunny longer days as we now move into the hot season. Here’s to hoping that the summer won’t be harsh and the temps remain under the 30 degree mark.

As we enter the fourth quarter of the year, I have decided to do a few things by the end of the year, these are things I may or may not have done over my lifetime. Let’s go!

August 2024

Another interesting month and another blast from the past. Backstreet Boys popped up on my Spotify DJ last month and that too when I was in the gym, and suddenly my teenage years flashed before my eyes. Ah so many good memories.

We are in the last month of winter, but it already felt like summer with the hairdryer winds and cold snaps. The unfortunate outcome of this will be that the snow season ends early again this year. I don’t foresee any snowboarding in September.

Some wins from August:

  • One of my friends pointed out my hypocrisy to drive to the gym and then walking on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes. Thanks to them, now I have been walking to the gym and back, which feels much better.
  • Still killing the workouts, which have been epic.
  • Snuck in 3 snow trips, which I have absolutely enjoyed. Unfortunate that it will end soon – unless I decide to spend some money and fly over to the beautiful Queenstown.
  • I finished my personal brochure website with a new marketing writeup, with a killer arc.

Things I need to work on:

  • Still working on the website, chipping away.

Enough talking. Let’s Go !

July 2024

Wowie. Has been a hot minute since I have had a moment to dump my thoughts. What an insane year I have had! The song this time around has worked two fold. This blog was posted on 20th July which coincidentally is Chester Bennington’s death anniversary. The man who truly revolutionised the rock music of the modern era we live in. I have recently been going back to loving the Linkin Park albums, maybe because it brings back memories of how times were simple and life seemed like a breeze.

I have achieved so much since the last time I posted. Some wins:

  • I can now surprisingly hang with one arm. Not something I was aiming for but its a massive for me.
  • Had a killer snow season last year, and have been to the snow once this year. Again, as we speak a massive storm is underway and I aim to hit the slopes next week.
  • Work has been growing, which is fantastic.

Things I need to work on:

  • Still working on the website. I know right. Feels like 2023. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for sure this time around.

Gonna keep this one short. I’m not sure if this is something I will keep doing. I need to figure out if this is something I want to keep pursuing, however I am going to try and post for at least this year and re-evaluate where I take this website to. Let’s Go !

March 2023

Presenting one of my pre-gym hype song. I love how the music video plays out. No spoilers. Watch the video to find out – and if you don’t figure it out, you never will.

In March, I went back to the motherland, got some legal shit sorted out. I particularly enjoyed spending some quality time with people I love the most. You know who you are.

Some little wins :

  • I got a promotion at work. Whilst I’m not a big person for the designations it still felt good. Thanks JMM.
  • On of my(our) side projects has started catching steam and we are nearly on page 1 of Google with 0 backlinks. Thats right, 0 backlinks. It’s all about the quality content – no AI bullshit.
  • India Trip. It was sick. I also met Mr. Alan Joyce who is the CEO of Qantas. Good chap.
  • I am much more refreshed and have some more steam again to push forward.

The trip to India was actually a revelation for me in some sorts. I needed this time, to think, get away from the super busy life in Melbourne. I decided a few things which I have already started incorporating as I’m writing this blog in April. Enough talking for this month.

LFG!

February 2023

Harry finally gets on the board. It was in my top 10 last year but still was in a completely different frame of mind and the genre of music. I like to start the year with some good acoustic music. I saw that happen last year as well.

February was sort of a duller month for me. I had been stressed about a couple of things and that just got to me. We are humans after all !

Some little wins :

  • I’ve started tracking my expenses to the cent. It comes as I dream to buy a property in Australia. I say Australia because I just want to enter the market rather than buy a property in an overpriced city.
  • Cooking has been going great.
  • Workouts on point.

Going to travel to the motherland next month. Kinda keen on that.

LFG!

January 2023

A gem of a song out of the oldie vault. Absolute cracker in the rock version and hits different on the acoustic version. Can’t wait for the new albums music videos to be released.

I have been battling some internal demons this month, where I am holding myself to an extremely high standard and this is a root cause of disappointment. However, we keep moving on, remembering the battles that have been won till now, I was never raised as a quitter.

Some little wins :

  • We pitched our service to one of the big organisations in the education sector, and even though we did not get them as a client for now, it was an experience in itself. A non-qualified lead turned into a qualified lead, and hopefully turns into a client come fin year 2023-2024.
  • I have started cooking quite a lot and have been eating healthy – saving some dough in the process.
  • I have been mixing things up with my workout which has been good.
  • One of the website pages content that I wrote has been page 1 on Google, with 0 backlinks, 0 articles linking to it. Pure quality of the content. Hell yeah – these are the things that make me push so hard and I absolutely love what I do.
  • My little reddit group now has now grown to 550 users. Absolutely stoked about that! Pure organic power baby.
  • My website has been tracking along nicely, with multiple visitors everyday. Bloody good.

A wise man gave me some great wisdom today. He mentioned that every business starters should give it 1000 days to gain some traction. Its when days like these that I feel absolutely blessed that when I’m questioning things about the hows, the wheres, the whens, and the whos, words like these are absolute gold and push me as a human being. Thanks dad.

LFG!

December 2022

Welcome to the beginning of 2023. Last year has been one of the best years in my life. For the first time in a few years, the right decisions of my life have been more than the wrong decisions I have made. I’ll take that any damm day.

Presenting my second highest streamed song on Spotify this year, “my deadlifting song”.

Following the same trend from last year, a few things I learned this year:

  • Comparison is the thief of joy, however jealousy is desire. Jealousy is a clue. Instead of putting it out in the world, explore it and get off your ass and work towards it.
  • I met a creative director from a leading creative agency in Melbourne and he gave me two lessons :
    • One – Own it. If you are the most expensive in your industry, own it. If your product isnt the best product in the market, own it. Owning it makes you unique.
    • Second – Never lower your price to get a client or to sell a product. If you have to lower your price, that generally means they weren’t going to go with you in the first place. Always value what you can bring to the table.

      Thanks Pat.

  • Pay less attention to what is being said and more to who is saying it.
  • People fail because they give up what they want the most for what they want now – read it again.
  • Take a second to analyse your life choices and habits. A small change in these can lead to immediate results.
  • Leave your ego at the door, and train with intent.
A little win this year, I started a subreddit in February and have 444 members all organic. So pumped about that,

My intentions for 2023 and beyond will remain the same:

  • Authenticity over everything.
  • Living life with a clear conscious and in the present.
  • Control what you can, accept the rest (I’m trying).

Coming on to this year, I will keep being the best person I can be – and have some fun along the way.

LFG!

November 2022

Birds of Tokyo are one of the best Alt rock band to come out of Australia for a long time. Shame they dont have the following they deserve around the world. On another note, Nickelback released their new album & needless to say I have already binged the whole album over 100 times in November, and expect a couple of songs to enter into my top 10 in the Spotify Wrapped next year. Unsurprisingly, this year I had my top song same as last year, so the next months song will be the second one on the list – and I’m pretty sure it would come as a surprise.

November was a very good month for me, extremely productive, and this month, I onboarded a client which was a huge win – because with them onboard, I am now officially in market with every service I want to offer. In other words, I have atleast 1 client for every service I would like to provide. Massive!

December should be good, given that I will have some more time to pull a rabbit out of the hat. Let’s Goo!!

October 2022

After their absolute banger (Stranded – if you haven’t heard it before) in 2021, here is one more from the Tassie duo. I hope they actually get the fame that they deserve.

I turned a year older this month, living in the prime of my life – I’m extremely proud of myself and what I have been able to achieve this year.

In November I intend to:

  • I’m in the final leg of what will be an awesome reveal. When I started this, I never realised how hard it is to actually get things moving. I have a new found respect for every single individual out there hustling to get their product/service to market. I feel you.
  • My workouts have been shit. I have lost my motivation to lift. I have spiced up my workouts by adding in boxing (finally) into the mix. Hopefully, my summer motivation kicks in.

Let’s Goo!!

September 2022

Far out its September already. Another classic Australian banger. I feel a lot more influenced by Australian artists than I was a decade ago. I might get into a theme for the rest of the year and feature all Australian bangers (Sorry Harry !).

As I bid adieu to this years snow season in Australia, it has been an amazing season snowboarding, and I can’t wait for the 2023 Season. If things go well for me, I intend to hit the slopes next December in Japan and in Canada in early 2024!

I also made the trip back to the motherland. Bloody hell I forgot how hot it was. I got a taste of a 39 degree day, absolutely killed me.

In October I intend to:

  • Be better than I was in September.
  • My workouts have been struggling a bit. I’ve been struggling with motivation.

Back for more with a refreshed mind and a killer focus for the next leg of laps. LFG !!

August 2022

Shags, you are an absolute legend. The unofficially official Australian National Anthem (also, can’t forget You’re the Voice as another unofficially official national anthem).

August has been one of the happiest months I’ve had in a long long time. I don’t want to talk about anything that I accomplished this month. It was all about physical, mental, emotional and financial zen.

In September I might take a small trip, away from all the insanity, cheerish what I have achieved, and reset my focus for what is coming next. LFG !!

July 2022

Don’t even get me started on the atrocious theme song for the Premier League this season. I think you should just retire the theme. You were right the first time around. 10 Years ago, the season of 2012-2013 was when we last won the title. For some reason, I really have a good feeling this season. It’s time about time that the glory days return to Old Trafford, and as always Liverpool sucks.

I’m not going to lie, my business has been doing much much better than I had ever imagined. I jump out of bed every morning to go to work, and after my full time job, I actually look forward to heading into my office to get some work done for my clients. Hard work seems to have been paying off and hopefully it keeps paying off!

In July:

  • I finally got access to the partner program for Google. Boy was it like getting access to Area 56.
  • I’ve been in a constant feeling of pump and I love it.
  • Grew by 1 more client. Win.

LFG!!
